Objective: The purpose of this study is to develop a valid scale that can be used to evaluate attitudes toward working mothers.
Method: The sample of this study consisted of 416 individuals with different sociocultural characteristics. Content validity, construct validity and internal consistency evaluations were carried out for appropriately prepared items.
Results: Initially a 5-point likert-type scale with 36 items was prepared for the study. Expert opinion and advanced statistical analyzes were used and than scale was
finalized with 21 items. When the scale was evaluated with this state, a result which had 4 factors and covered 52.32% of the sample was obtained. The Cronbach’s alpha
values was calculated as 0.844.
Conclusion: The resulted measurement scale demonstrates acceptable reliability and validity.
